Tuning iNav Explained: 4 - Advanced Tuning Page, Navigation Settings & The IFWG Pro In-Flight Tuning
Welcome to the fourth video in the Tuning iNav Explained series. In this video, Marc and I look at the Advanced Tuning page in iNav; going through the settings that can be used to tune the plane in autonomous flight. Following on from that, we take a closer look at the in-flight tuning OSD, which is a part of the INAV Fixed Wing Group Pro OpenTX model (link below). Marc discusses the adjustments and also the data visible to you.
If you would like to use a full tuning OSD like this, but don’t want to use the IFWG Pro model. This tutorial https://youtu.be/A5i0gs9LfE8 will show you how to create a similar setup. Or take a look at my transmitter model setup video https://youtu.be/CuY_fLYoJNA, as the in-flight adjustments are implemented in the exact same way. Just take the CLI related to OSD and adjustments from https://www.INAVFixedWingGroup.com.
If you have any questions, please feel free to leave them in the comments. We'll see if we can cover things in future video, especially if they may benefit a lot of people. Please head over to Marc's channel and subscribe. He has a lot of great, technical videos. His channel is primarily in German, but a lot of his videos also have English subtitles. https://www.youtube.com/c/b14ckyysTech/

As you can see from the second to last chapter. This will be the last video in the series for a little while. Tuning iNav Explained will return once iNav 3.0 has been released. This version has a lot of improvements, especially for fixed wing pilots and for tuning. They include automatic board pitch alignment, automatic rates calculation, an PIDFF controller, and improvements for horizon drift.
Apologies for the echoes in some parts of the video. Marc and I will be trying a different setup with the sound recording for the next videos, to try and eliminate this completely.
If you found the video useful, I'd appreciate a thumbs up. This will help YouTube share this video with other RC pilots who may find it helpful.
