DIY Indoor Autonomous Drone! - Part 1 (Pixhawk & Hardware Setup)
This video will show you setting up a drone with a Pixhawk flight controller module, a camera suitable for machine vision, and an onboard core i7 computer. I will also be showing the necessary connections for performing visual inertial odometry and synchronization.
This is my first video, please comment below for any mistakes or things you would like me to address to make the quality of the videos better. But if you liked my video, you know what to do ;)
Something I didn't mention in the video: Visual inertial synchronization doesn't necessarily mean measurements of IMU and camera at the same time, it just means making both of the measurements' timestamps match. This is what's done inside the Pixhawk software in order to correct clock skews between itself and the companion computer.
