Try different brushes or tools to apply paint. Work on paper (less precious...it's just paper!). 

Experiment with colors you don't usually use. Mix colors. Add collage. Make marks.

Have the mindset of play.

Like a child, don't think of the outcome. Enjoy the process. Create in a journal. Don't share it. Make a mess. Make ugly art. Just create.
