Ranchi is famous for waterfall, old temples, It is the capital city of Jharkhand, we came for a 4 day tour of Jharkhand,

If you are visiting jharkhand during october time you will experience pleasant weather. During our tour we experienced rainfall in some areas. Which was making it a good time to explore the city and its surrounding natural beauty, like the stunning waterfalls in the area.

Ranchi to Patratu - 45 km

Date of journey - 2nd Oct 2023

Below are the activities we did during this day.

Shri Jagannath Temple - we started our day by visiting this temple, it is dedicated to lord vishnu, the architecture of this temple somewhat similar to the temple in Puri, but it is not that big. It is an ancient temple of 1691.

Dhurwa Dam - Then we proceeded towards patratu, we stopped by dhurwa dam to see the natural beauty. It It is a significant water reservoir serving both as a water source and a recreational spot for locals and tourists. This dam is constructed across the Subarnarekha River.

Lunch at Ravi Hotel - We had mutton bhat, this dhaba is located on the highway.

Patratu valley view - We wanted to see the view, but due to cloudy weather & rain, we couldn't see the view.

Patratu Lake - This is an artificial lake, surrounded by hills. We took a speed boat ride - Rs 750 per person, you can do jet ski, boating at this place.

Palani Waterfall - We took an auto to reach this waterfall, the distance is about 2.5 to 3 km.

Dhuska - We had a famous delicacy of Jharkhand, one of the street vendors near marwadi school at Pustak Path. Dhuska & Barra.

Ajam Emba - It is a traditional restaurant which serves tribal food of jharkhand. Non Veg platter - Rs 750 & Veg Platter - Rs 550.
