Testing SD Card Write Speeds – Gigastone 4K vs Samsung Evo vs SanDisk Extreme. Who is FASTER?

There are a TON of SD Cards out there and as cameras increase resolution and frame rates, only the best, fastest SD cards will do the trick. In today’s video, I’ll be testing SD card red and write speeds and we'll see which brand is faster in a head to head contest between a Gigastone 4K vs a Samsung Evo vs a SanDisk Extreme, and we’ll even compare the difference between the Extreme and Ultra models.

Why should you care about this information? A bunch of reasons:

1. The Gigastone brand is generally the first brand suggested by Amazon and it’s often advertised as just as fast as other major brands for up to 35% less cost. Is it true?
2. Many newer action cameras such as the GoPro 7, 8 or 9 and the DJI Osmo Action cams will completely freeze up or not record your full videos properly if your card isn’t fast enough, and you can only figure that out by troubleshooting.
3. Is SanDisk really the fastest major brand and is it worth the extra money for them?
4. Can I get a good SD-Card with a lower price?
