NFC Tags come in a variety of colors (so you get ones that match the object you’re sticking to, or wall color), work indoors or outdoors (some models are waterproof), and are VERY affordable. They can be placed ALMOST anywhere and can really take your smart home to the next level!

NFC Tags Work on iPhone XS or later using the free Shortcuts app by Apple, but if you have an older iPhone you will need a 3rd party app.

Automation Ideas used in this video:
1. Near your front door - to turn off all your lights and locking your door (or you can even do this from your car)
2. Dashboard in your car - get directions from a list of places that you can create
3. AirPods case or desk - Open specific playlists from Spotify (although with Spotify you have to manually press play, it won’t auto play)
4. Underneath a kitchen counter - Toggle Lights on/off
5. Nightstand - Different scenes depending on time of day:
- during the day - turn lights to full brightness
- at night - turn off all lights in the house, lock doors, set temperature
