From unremarkable photocopier salesman to mastermind of Australia’s largest ever corporate fraud, the allegations against Bill Papas are staggering. He’s accused of netting almost half a billion dollars in an audacious, and deviously simple scam. And so far, he seems to have gotten away with it. That’s because instead of explaining himself, Papas has done a runner and fled the country. But in this joint investigation between 60 Minutes, the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, we track him down, living a very good life in Greece.
