Let’s talk about applying intersectionality Part 1: What is intersectionality, why it is important?

Event: March 22, 2023

In this webinar, NCCDH knowledge translation specialists Pemma Muzumdar and Bernice Yanful will summarize evidence on the historical roots of intersectionality; outline its connections to critical race theory, the use and misuse of intersectionality, and its relevance to public health action; and discuss how an intersectional approach, including continuous critical reflection, can be applied to four established public health roles for advancing health equity.
