How To Make a Layered stencil

What up guys! Today I'll show you how to make a layered stencil. So your going to get the image and change the appearance a little bit. I like to turn up the brightness and contrast.

In illustrator you going to do live trace - Gray Scale.. and change the max colors down to 4 or 3. Next add some registration marks. These will help you line up your layers. we're going to do three - Black, White, and Gray.

White will be your bottom one. Then Gray. Then Black. So for White you will just cut out the entire image.

After that you will do Gray. For gray you will be cutting out the black and Gray - Leaving the white. And all the white pieces have to be to touching another white piece [and connected to the outer white] otherwise they will just fall out. I'll show you right here: you can't have those little white islands so you connect them to the out side.

So one thing I like to do is color them in and try to connect them.

So with the black you will be cutting out the black. I like to color in what will be left (the white and light gray) and make sure it is all touching one another. Here is a little example. Take out the black, color the gray white, and make sure it is touching the outside white.

after you cut that out all thats left is to cut out your registration marks. those will help you line it up. So get those cut out.

So once you spray down your white, you will want to mark your registration marks with a pencil, or something that can be erased.

After that, you are going to line up your gray, cover your registration marks, and spray it down. You will want to spray your image from about 2 feet away. That way it won't get super dark. I didn't like how dark it turned out anyways so I came back over it with a little bit of white spray paint... and I thought it looked a little better. I should have gotten better spray paint for the white.

Then with black (same idea) put it up, cover registration marks, this time your going to get a bit closer, and really put your black on opaque.

And there you have it. President TRUMP!

Erase your registration marks. And then... just pick off the white underlay that you did... and because it's Trump, there's probably rats under it or something. it's cool.. it's like whatever. It's like what ever bruh! Dope DOPE DOOOOPE
