When their lair is sacked by hit men, Eli and the band leave to replace their equipment in the store, but they discover that a secret network sends the valuable Slugterra slugs into the clutches of the evil Dr. Blakk. The team decides to face him face to face.

Eli and his band speak with Red Hook, a celebrated armorer with a lot of talent, to help them when Eli's weapon is damaged. When they get their help, they end up fighting the Hoola Band, made up of Billy, Shorty and Glasses, three of Dr. Blakk's most arrogant employees.

Eli suspects when Pronto soon takes the band to Club Slug, a training camp for slugs that gives them power for a more energetic and cruel fight. When they arrive, everyone sees that Eli had reason to suspect. The club is a scam, not to say detrimental to the slugs.

Eli Shane is determined to be the greatest Slugslinging hero of all. But in order to defeat the forces of evil, he must collect, train and duel with little critters called slugs, which transform into powerful magical beasts. Eli and his crew explore the caverns, challenge rivals and one another to friendly duels, and upgrade their gear in their underground world. But there is a threat to Eli and the slugs -- Dr. Blakk wants to transform the slugs into feral mindless weapons. No one has been able to stand up to Blakk's army of henchmen ... until now.
