WWII Veteran Interview with Floyd Steenberg (Battle of Luzon, 37th Infantry Division)

Blown up and left for dead in an intense jungle firefight... this sounds like something from a story you would go to see at a movie theater... but this is the story of the man sitting in the chair right in front of me.
I love history, especially WWII history, so I started doing interviews with some veterans that I had connections to. Floyd has an amazing story that the world needs to hear.
Drafted into the war at a young age, he was given three choices: the Army Air Corps, the Navy, or the infantry. He chose the infantry because, "I was scared of heights and I couldn't swim, but I figured I could dig a hole, so I chose the infantry." He was sent to the Philippines to face combat, the likes of which we can only imagine today through action movies. His iconic war hero story from his childhood on through retirement can be heard here in his own words.
Do yourself a favor and take a minute to hear how this brave patriot served his country, fought tyranny, and earned two bronze stars and a purple heart.
I am clearly an amateur here, so there were a few mistakes made with the technical parts of the interview. That is why you will notice some problems with the camera auto adjusting the focus. I got that issue corrected on my next interview that I hope to publish soon. Feel free to add some input in the comments and subscribe for some more amazing untold history, straight from the ones who lived it!
