A Health Scare Inspired Them to Trade City-Living for A Jungle Paradise

In March 2016, Kema Ward- Hopper was diagnosed with breast cancer. Then in 2017, Kema and her husband, Nicholas Hopper, lost their home due to hurricane Harvey. The hardships led them to leave Houston to live in the Costa Rican jungle. Fast forward to the present, the couple welcomed a new baby, she’s now cancer-free, and they run a yoga studio. The family skypes into our “Far from Home” episode.
