Russia... Even in the 21st century it remains an unknown country for many people, and there are a lot of misconceptions about Russia. To our deep regret, people often attribute frank bad taste and vulgarity to Russian folk music. And these people are not only abroad, but also in the modern Russian Federation. Due to the various primitive left-wing experiments of the 20th century, including the Marxist dictatorship, not the best parts of the culture were often cultivated. And sometimes the communists deliberately cut ties with the past and traditions altogether, especially in the first decades of their terrorist rootless regime.

Here are a few words for historical background. The Bolsheviks in Russia were supported by less than a quarter of the population, and the damned Marxists could not retain power without total terror.

Currently in forced emigration for political reasons, I want to acquaint, especially foreigners, with short examples of melodies in the spirit of real Russian folk music and, in general, with the melodies of the Russian folk soul, reflected in the symphonic music of a bygone era. I made the pieces of music as short as possible to get a clear answer to the question: "What is Russian folk melody?"
