While charging electric vehicles with solar photovoltaic is a great way to use clean energy, it can also pose some challenges. High-output solar PV arrays can generate too much power, causing damage to the batteries if not charged within the safety limits and supported rating of the battery.
To address this issue, we propose a current-controlled hill-climbing strategy used in Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) of the solar photovoltaic array.
