With modern technology, pop producers have incredible control over every aspect of their music. In this video I take a look at some of their processes and approaches, focusing mainly on Ian Kirkpatrick's hilarious and informative Instagram livestreams and on Finneas, who produces his sister Billie Eilish's tracks. It might surprise you coming from a classical composer, but I find looking into this stuff really stimulating and inspiring. I hope you do too!
