WalkingPad - S1 (Vs R1?!) full walkthrough review [Xiaomify]

The all-new WalkingPad S1 is out.. Is it any good and how does it compare to the Walkingpad R1? Let’s find out!

The walking pad S1 is more of a walking pad than a treadmill, as its maximum speed is 6km/h (3.7 mph) but in many situations, this might be enough. Its convenience lays in the fact that it's so small and really easy to store. You can easily place it under your bed or sofa and simply roll it out when you need it. All you have to do it unfold it, plug it in and you’re ready to go. The ease of use and the speed of setting it up are the things that appealed to me the most.

6km/h is not anything like 10km/h running, but it’s a decent speed to jog or speedwalk on, and it’s still quite nice to do for 30 minutes or so. This is a very nice one to have in your office as well, as it could easily fit underneath your standing desk to walk a bit whilst working or having a call. -yeah, you could easily do that as it is impressively silent.

It can go as slow as 0.5 km/h and good all the way up to 6km/h in increments of 0.5 km/h. You can manually set the speed using the APP or the included remote control. Additionally, you can set it using the “automatic speed mode” which has the walking pad increase the speed when you are walking in front, keep the current speed in the center, and slow down until it stops when walking on the back. -You can set the minimum and maximum speed from the KS Fit APP when you have set it up over WiFi for more control over this automatic mode.

Overall I really did not have anything bad to say about the S1; It’s compact, it’s easy to store, easy to grab, it’s silent, it’s quick and that’s really are there is to it. The only downside for you may be the max speed of 6km/h, but for me, that is still good enough. And if you need something faster there is the R1 that goes up to 10km/h. (Although that one takes a little bit more time to set up and is a little bit bigger/heavier…) So the WalkingPad S1 does pretty much exactly what it needs to do and it does that well for the weeks that I’ve been trying it out..
