MK7+ Golf R (with DCC) - 2x4 strut removal method

I'm not really using a 2x4, more like a 1.5 x .75 x 2 foot hardwood (WALNUT) - easily clears the DCC dampers without notching.

Before attempting this, please make sure the car is level, raised up in all 4 corners with jackstands.
