Flinders St Station Design Competition Animation
'A Courtyard Within a Station' - Our aim for this project was to generate a new open, urban space for the city of Melbourne. A courtyard within the station precinct forms the basis of the design concept. This space seeks to activate the Northbank of the Yarra River and to improve the station's connection to Federation Square, whilst
becoming the new, green public centre of the city; its chief purpose, to reinvigorate a place that has lost much of its vitality in the last number of years. This is a placemaking project, where sustainably, conservation and connectivity combine to create a new civic focal point within the city.
