Building an Ubuntu PC for my mother with Corsair 4000X and Gigabyte B550
My mother uses Ubuntu, because l33t. Been feeling like doing some new PC builds lately and just so happened my mother needed an upgrade around the time of her birthday, so I decided to build her one.
Controlling RGB and fan speeds from Ubuntu is tricky, but thankfully the Corsair controller has on board memory, so I was able to load up the Corsair iCUE software in a virtual machine and set it up, then just boot as normal. It remembers the settings, even without the virtual machine or software running.
So if you're an Ubuntu/Linux user, you can get your hardware setup if you're using Corsair! Probably other brands too but haven't tested those.
PARTS LIST
Case: Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB Mid Tower
PSU: Corsair RM550x 80 Plus Gold

Special thanks to Corsair for helping out with the build! Not actually "sponsored", but they did supply some parts that I requested.
