How To Create A Stream Schedule To Grow Your Stream

The first step to growing your average viewers is consistency, and that means a schedule. I have mentioned this a few times but people are creatures of habit, which isn’t a bad thing. We all have a certain routine to our day, and enjoying Twitch is just another part of that routine.

If you want people to return to your stream, and grow your average viewership then you need to create a schedule and stick to it so you can become a part of their routine. Figure out what days or nights you can go live, and for at least an hour or two-stream those nights. I would recommend trying to also be consistent with the types of stream.

Variety streamers like myself have a MUCH MUCH harder time growing because people often only watch for 1 type of game, so when we switch they leave if they aren’t into the new game or there for the streamer. So pick a game or category, focus on building your niche in that and you should be good to go.

How To Get People Invested In Your Stream To Grow Your Average Viewers

Streaming is a story just like any other form of entertainment, whether it is Ludwigs rise to triumph against Jump King, or Justaminx on Love or Host. Streamers tell stories during a stream, or across multiple streams.

One of the reasons smaller streamers struggle to grow their average viewership is because they don’t connect a story to their stream, meaning viewers can’t get invested in it. So here is my question, What is the story you are going to invest viewers into? Are you climbing the ranks in a competitive game? Trying to lower your personal best in a speed run? This story also gives you a chance to build a channel narrative around you and your community, something I will go into more in the next tip actually.

The style of this video is similar to Alpha Gaming and Gaming Careers in parts. A large influence on this series has come from content creators like Wild4games and Nutty.
