Let's get real about quitting your 9-5 job—or even your career. A lot of people think that leaving your stable income to become a full-time entrepreneur is all rainbows and butterflies. To some degree, it is. But there are a lot of things I wish I would have considered before quitting my career in advertising.

Being a self-employed creator really is a dream come true. But there are certain things about my previous life that I miss dearly. Like the social interaction I got from going into the office every day. Or the structure and routine I could depend on to keep me disciplined. It's not like I don't have that now. But I have to REALLY work to have a consistent routine. But that's entrepreneurship for you. I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a bit of satisfaction in figuring this stuff out on my own. I guess I just wish it was a little easier lol.

Lastly, I want you to consider that you DON'T have to quit your job to become an entrepreneur. You can do both. I worked a 9-5 job as an entrepreneur for 4 years before I decided to quit my job. In retrospect, I quit my career a little too late. But that sure as heck beats quitting too early. At the end of the day, I quit at the perfect time for ME.
