POEM 4 | "Mother Earth" | Miss Northern

Hello lovely people & welcome again ♡

I have spent ages finishing this poem, but it was all totally worth it, as I'm finally happy with the result. I went from Finnish to English to thinking whether I should attach any poem to it at all... hahah. But then one day, when I returned to it after weeks, the shades of green and the fairytale-like setting spoke to me and I finally understood what was the theme and story of what I had captured. Sometimes, quite often actually time and space are required for one to be able to look at his/her creation from a perspective that can be analytic, free of prejudice... I hope my play with the words could open some pathways of thinking in you as well, if not, for the ever-so-beautiful forest to resonate with your soul and bring peace to you!

POEM

Mother Earth,
to You, I have returned.
Followed faint rays of sun,
at break of dawn.

Into the shelter of your thicket,
refuge of your hem.

And I wonder,
your delicate splendor,
unshaken amidst the thunder.

In the depths of dark as the only star,
most beautiful by far.

Guide me to clarity,
what is my destiny?
Was I born to be
a caged bird,
eternally?

On the evergreen fell
drops of water,
in tears, your daughter.

To learn a lesson,
up, you brought her.

This liberty,
to dance beneath your trees.
Swayed in the waves of your sea,
enfolded in your peace.
Sorrow can't come to me.
