Samantha called me Plant Daddy while I was repotting my planta on Fathers Day & honestly I've never felt so seen. Shoutout to my fellow plant daddies.

When I was a college radio DJ, DJ Section 8 always called me Mother Earth and while I definitely think he was on low key misogynoir and was likely shading the fuck out of me for playing nonstop Khaela Maricich, Kathleen Hanna, & Beth Ditto, I also think he saw my true nature.

I am going to do my best to only ever plant with Compost Now compost- this shit is truly black gold. It looks and acts fundamentally different than the dirt I've purchased at chain stores. Nature is fucking incredible. I ran out towards the end and I've got more plants to do so I'm very excited to receive my refill this week.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to be present to the lessons I learn from trying to keep shit alive and being respectful when things die.
