Energizer Lithium AA Battery Review
Which AA batteries do you use? Are they powerful enough?

In this review, I test the Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA Batteries against their powerful counterparts:
• Energizer Eco Advanced AA batteries (£1.24 each)
• Duracell Ultra Power AA Batteries (£1.16 each)
...and a set of ultra cheap Wilko Functional AA Batteries (£1 for 12 or 0.08p each) just for fun.
I have heard great things about the Lithium AA batteries but have always used either the Duracell Ultra Powers or Energizer rechargeable batteries in my speedlights and gadgets.
I have also read that the Lithium batteries have a tendency to overheat during excessive use with power hungry gadgets like the Canon 580EX II speedlight...
...so I fired close to 1000 strobes at full power with the 580EX II to see if I could blow it up or set fire to it, but which battery performed the best and lasted the longest?

Equipment used:
• Canon 580EX II
• Energizer Ultimate AA Lithium batteries
• Duracell Ultra Power AA LR6 batteries
• Wilko Functional AA batteries
The results were surprising to me and all I will say is stay away from the Wilko Functional batteries unless you are powering a sheet of tissue paper or similar.
