Khanyisa meets Bubi and Zindoga of the Jabulani Herd

Khanyisa's big-elephant world is growing, with her introduction to Bubi and her daughter, Zindoga.

Bubi is a gentle and reliable female who is known for her warm affection to younger elephants. Although she is loving, she also has high expectations of youngsters, expecting good manners at all times, and she always leads by example, hence her daughter, Zindoga is also very well-mannered.

The interaction continued with the elephants in their company that Khanyisa has already met, namely, Jabulani, Lundi, Setombe, Klaserie and Somopane, a total of seven elephants that Khanyisa has now met.

Zindoga showed very little interest in Khanyisa, however, Bubi did, sweetly taking her time to introduce herself to Khanyisa, approaching her very gently. Lundi showed slight apprehension to start, but Bubi, being the respectful lady she is, continued to reverse back towards Khanyisa, showing submission to Lundi. She continued to do this for some time. It was beautiful to watch. Bubi has a great interest in Khanyisa too.

At one stage of the morning, when a tractor passed by, the elephants surrounded Khanyisa as they do when protecting their young, another beautiful sight to see.

Khanyisa has now met nearly half of the Jabulani herd (which has a total of 15 elephants), and it has so far been very positive, and most importantly, Khanyisa is responding well and feeling confident in their company.
