Significant land deformation spotted from satellites. 12.11.23
On land deformation as seen from satellites. The epicenter of the deformation is the magma dyke that extends through the city of Grindavik. The most significant seismic activity is in the middle of that tunnel. However a lengthy subsidence fissure opened up today in the southern end of the dyke (in Grindavik city), as it is usually a case prior to the eruptions.
