From a game management point of view, their numbers need to be reduced, in order for some game animals that we like to eat to thrive.

In agricultural areas, crows are responsible for extensive crop damage, including their nasty habit of pulling up sprouting grain in the spring.

The crow is the most intelligent of all birds. As such, they can be challenging and worthy adversaries that, kept under control, are a welcome part of nature's complex tapestry.
