In this video I'm showing how to make a jigsaw cutting station . A simple jigsaw guide cutting station but a great diytool around the shop.

I made a jigsaw cutting station that works as a jigsaw cutting guide as well as a jigsaw crosscut jig. The build is solid, it doesn't cost much and you can use it for a lot of workshop projects. The jigsaw cutting station lets you cut straight cuts up to 65cm, cross cuts and cuts at an arbitrary angle depending on how you adjust the guide rail. The jigsaw cutting guide is removable and you can use it without the cutting station - great for short and precise cuts. If needed you can easily mount it back on the jigsaw cutting station. You will need only few things to build this diy workshop tool - plywood, aluminium angles, bolts, nuts, T-nuts and a jigsaw. This homemade workshop tool is simple to make and it will help you with many projects. HOW TO MAKE A JIGSAW CUTTING STATION | DIY JIGSAW GUIDE CUTTING STATION

I started out by building the jigsaw guide - cut the plywood and the aluminium angles for the jig. Attached those to the plywood base using a double sided tape, bolts and nuts. After that I drilled several sight holes in the base and after that I cut the slot in the jigsaw base (Note: cut the slot after having the sight holes ready).
For the jigsaw cutting station I cut the base board and elevated it with timber to make space for the jigsaw blade. I measured the position of the slot and attached the jigsaw cutting guide to the jigsaw station using T-nuts, threaded rods and wing nuts. I cut out the slot in the board using the jigsaw guide and marked several lines on the base and attached a guide rail on one of those for 90 degrees cross cuts. Additionally I mounted a removable flippable aluminium rail with a wing nut as a guide to be able to cut at an arbitrary angle. This jigsaw cutting station is a great homemade workshop tool.

- Plywood base (45x75cm), plywood guide (11x75cm)
- Timber (2 - 12x3x4cm, 2 - 30x3x4cm)
- Aluminium Angles
- 4x16mm bolt, nuts, T-nuts, Wing nuts
- Wood Glue, Double sided tape
