President Biden delivered remarks Friday after United Auto Workers began their strike against Ford, General Motors and Stellantis when leaders from both sides failed to agree on a new labor contract before the current one expired. Some 13,000 autoworkers walked off the job at midnight Friday at three factories: a GM assembly plant in Wentzville, Missouri, a Ford assembly plant in Wayne, Michigan, and a Stellantis assembly complex in Toledo, Ohio.
