Trump to continue presidential duties: White House doctor
Donald Trump's doctor has released a statement confirming the US President would continue to perform his duties despite he and his wife testing positive for coronavirus.
"This evening I received confirmation that both President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for the SarsCoV2 virus," the letter read.
"The President and First Lady are both well at this time and plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence.
"The White House medical team and I will maintain a vigilant watch,
"Rest assured, I expect the president to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering and I will keep you updated on any future developments."
The positive tests follow revelations Trump Senior Adviser, Hope Hicks, tested positive for COVID-19.
It remains unclear whether the president had coronavirus during the presidential debate with former vice president Joe Biden.
