Ludwig van Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata
"Moonlight Sonata" by Ludwig van Beethoven, performed by Abbraccio Classical in 2017.
Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata," also known as "Sonata Quasi una Fantasia," is a famous and hauntingly beautiful piece of classical music. Composed in 1801, it is one of Beethoven's most well-known works. The full name is "Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor 'Quasi una fantasia', Op. 27, No. 2," but it's commonly referred to as the "Moonlight Sonata" due to its serene and moonlit atmosphere.
Ludwig van Beethoven was a composer born in Germany in 1770. He is considered one of the greatest composers of all time and was a key figure in the transition from the Classical to the Romantic era of music. His compositions, including the "Moonlight Sonata," continue to move people to this day.
