3 years of demolition in Manheim, Germany - before & after

Sharing the fate of many old buildings and villages, Manheim near Kerpen in Germany is currently (April 2020) being demolished to make way for the above-ground coal mine here: https://goo.gl/maps/ZLdDzQVM32yWTXZ27
After deciding that Manheim would be destroyed the German government forced the homeowners to sell their houses to the energy company running the mine. They were given a piece of land a few kilometers away and in some cases barely or not enough money to build a new house.
