UW, pro-Palestinian protesters reach agreement to take down encampment in the Quad

The encampment in the Quad at the University of Washington is expected to come down by Monday after pro-Palestinian protesters and university administrators came to an agreement on Friday.

A spokesperson for the encampment confirmed to KOMO News Friday morning the group finalized an agreement with the UW to end the encampment that has been in the Quad since the end of April.

The agreement calls for the United Front for Palestinian Liberation to call for people to voluntarily end the encampment on Friday and for the encampment to not be re-established. Protesters agreed to leave the encampment by Monday at 3 p.m. and to remove all tents, personal belongings and to clear the Quad of all trash.
