DeWalt upped the game on themselves when they released this DCG418 FlexVolt grinder. The DCG418 now has a 3HP (2200 Watts Output) motor with 9000 no-load wheel speed.

The old DCG414 FlexVolt grinder had 2.2HP and it was already a beast. If you think that cordless doesn't have the muster to keep up with a cord, you should try this DeWalt DCG418 grinder.
DeWalt claims that it has the power equal to a corded 13A grinder, and this stands to reason. Due to runtime, we don't think that any production shop or hardcore fabricator will Replace their grinder with this DeWalt cordless; however, this could be a great supplemental tool when needed. Mobile welders and fabricators can work more efficiently on smaller jobs without the need to drag out an extension cord.
