Wood surface to mount to (I used a scrap of plywood and I put Jenga blocks on the back to make the spacers for the floater.) A more professional option would be a cradled wood board.

*compare prices and sizes, blick has a great selection of singles, amazon has better prices in bulk. Get exactly the size you need, or a touch smaller if you don't mind cropping your painting, because you cant cut these panels down.
