These are a few things to look for when shopping for LED strip lights (LED tape lights):
1. Lumen - This is the brightness the strip emits. If lumen is not mentioned, it is best to call and ask, or avoid the seller.
2. Safety Certifications - It is difficult on Amazon or Ebay to verify safety claims the seller may write down. Check the UL listing or RoHS registry to make sure the LEDs are safe and do not contain hazard materials such as lead.
3. Material Quality - This contains not only the LEDs, but the thickness and material in the PCB, resistors, wires, and solder.
4. Test reports - Ask for test reports to verify claims of brightness of longevity.
5. Warranty
6. Customer service and install / Design help.
