Rockstar is a Joke - I am Angry, Disappointed, and Embarrassed (PlayStation Showcase)

The *new* expanded and enhanced GTA 5 Rockstar trailer at the most recent playstation showcase was pathetic but it comes on the heels of a bunch of garbage Take-Two has been doing lately.

For the last few months, Take-Two has ramped up their efforts to attack fan modders, brutally destroying the most passionate people attempting to create new content where Rockstar seems unwilling or unable to. They have gone out of their way to attack those who have spent years of their lives, for free, creating new experiences for Rockstar fans, often making the games Rockstar still sells to this day actually playable or worth buying for modern systems.

In light of this, you’d think Rockstar at the Playstation showcase would want to demonstrate that they can fill the hole that has been left by these people. Show that they still have what it takes to produce something truly great in the GTA space which they have failed to do since the release of GTA 5. Given how angry people were at the announcement of E&E a year ago, you’d imagine they would have learned their lesson and gotten a sense of what people were looking for in in trailers and announcements.

Sadly, Rockstar seems passionately committed on convincing everyone that they are a joke. Presenting us with a trailer where reflections don’t work, characters are sitting on double chairs, and lense flares all over the screen are apparently what is considered graphical enhancement. Anyone who felt they could only enjoy GTA 5 with graphics similar to what is shown in this trailer could have done so with even a basic PC for the last half decade, and they would have done so with apparently fewer bugs. Rockstar struggled so hard to come up with something new to add to this trailer they stated that ‘seamless character switching’ would be a noteworthy feature. If you expect this to be anything more than faster character switching due to having an ssd, keep dreaming. They continue to speak with vague terms, improved graphics, enhanced gameplay, explosive action, and much more! These terms they know are disappointing, they showed that the first time, which suggests that being more specific would somehow be MORE disappointing.
I am not only mad, I am not only disappointed, I am embarrassed. These are not children working at this company. These are grown adults who are being outshined by the average guy making a basic graphics mod.

I'd ask you to do better Rockstar, but I am not convinced that you can.
