HOW MUCH to fix a LEAKING FUEL CELL on a FORMULA VEE? - Getting Into Racing For Less Than 10K - Ep 4

In Episode 4 of Getting Into RACING for LESS Than 10K, we cover our largest setback so far to get the car running and the various options we have to fix it. When I first filled up the cell with gas to fire the engine I noticed an extremely heavy leak coming from the bottom corner. I then did some follow up with ATL (Aerotech Laboratories) and found out that the last year the cell I have was made was 1985 so the newest it could be is 36 years old.

We cover three options for replacing the cell in the video. The first option is the repair the current fuel cell I have. The second option is to order a direct replacement from ATL. Lastly, the third option is to find an off-the-shelf option from ATL or Fuel Safe Racing Cells which would still be below my current seat.

For anyone new to the channel my name is Jared Colow and this series was made to document my journey buying a 1975 Caldwell-D13 Formula Vee Car so I can enter the FVee Challenge Cup as well as SCCA Formula Vee races.
