Inside Edition debuted in January 1989, and on the first show, we introduced the country to the Usher siblings. Brian Usher, then 7, spoke to us about how he saved his sister, Beth, after she feel off a see-saw because she had an undiagnosed brain tumor. Doctors discovered she had Rasmussen Encephalitis. Doctors had to surgically remove half of her brain and after she recovered, she told us how Brian was her hero.
