DIY Brake line replacement 1999-2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 with routing diagram for all 5 solid lines

One of our trucks has a leaking solid brake line running to the rear drums. GM makes a coated brake line kit that is more resistant to road salt and corrosion. Replacing these lines is typically done on a lift after loosening up body mounts so cables can be pulled through. While this is the preferred method, replacement can be done in the driveway with a 14 mm wrench at a substantial cost savings. This video provides a simple to follow diagram that allows you to cut and remove the brake lines and then easily route the new lines to the ABS unit mounted in the center of the truck.
