How to Test the Water Valve on your Washer - Not Filling or Overfilling

In this video I show you how to test the water valve on your washing machine. If you are having issues with the washer not filling or overfilling the water valve may be defective and need replaced.

This troubleshooting process will work on most brands and makes of washers. The machine used in this video in an Amana Washer.
Whirlpool / Kenmore machines have the same setup as this one does.

The water valve on washers is sometimes referred to as the inlet valve or maybe even the water solenoid.
