Wild Earth ~ Lioness feeds and plays with her cubs

This is the Mom with the 3 cubs - a member of the Birmingham Pride. At 8 weeks old she has introduced her cubs to meat but they are still milk dependent. She has been with them at this kill site for 2 days and today is moving day. The vultures have shown themselves and that will be a signal to other predators that there is a carcass. Mom has had her fill and for safety sake she will take the cubs to a new den site. Before they leave she feeds them and lets them have some playtime! Mom is very patient with the little ones. There is one male and 2 female cubs.
