ARTETT is an Austria-based band, founded in 2001 by Andreas Pirringer (reeds) and Kurt Leban (p). Over the last 20 years, more than 120 musicians have joined the duo for gigs. For the last couple years Alexander Sieber (git), Richard Barnert (b) and Marco Boehm (dr) have been the constant rhythm section.
Artett have put on many successful shows, such as "Rat Pack", "TV & Movie Soundtracks" and "The 60s Show", and even formed their own big band for large-scale, evening-filling entertainment for bigger audiences than those found at regular jazz gigs. Artett originals can be found on the CD "belebt-bewegt" from 2016.
stimmig is Artett’s 7th album, featuring the beautiful voices of various Artett singers. Many of the musicians are from Wiener Neustadt, Lower Austria and Vienna.
The songs that make up stimmig are classics of rock & pop and swing, as well as the musical genre.
