The brand new Samara Arena prepares to host games at the FIFA World Cup 2018 when it kicks off in Russia this summer.

The stadium - which was built specially for the World Cup - is nicknamed the Cosmos Arena, due to its 'out-of-this-world' appearance.

Samara Arena has a capacity of 44,918 spectators and will host six matches in the upcoming tournament - including Uruguay vs Russia.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place in Russia from June 14 to July 15, 2018. A total of 64 matches will be played at 12 venues located in 11 cities across Russia, with the final set to take place at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
