Zalka Csenge Virág nemzetközi mesemondó, író. Tizenöt éve járja a világot, népmeséket gyűjt és mesél három nyelven; fesztiválokra, iskolákba, múzeumokba viszi el az élőszó varázsát.
Mesterdiplomáját és doktori fokozatát az Egyesült Államokban szerezte Fulbright ösztöndíjasként. Budapesten él, főállásban önkéntes mesemondókat képez, akikkel gyermekotthonokba jár esti mesét mondani. Több kötete jelent meg magyarul és angolul; célja, hogy különleges, ritka népmeséket osszon meg az olvasókkal.
Szabad-e csókolgatni Csipkerózsikát? Van-e szabálya a mesélésnek, és egyáltalán hogyan alakulnak, alakulhatnak-e tovább ma a népmesék? Többek között ezekre a kérdésekre is választ kaphatunk Csenge magával ragadó beszédéből.

She spreads the magic of the spoken word at festivals, schools and museums. She received her master's degree and PhD in the USA under a Fulbright scholarship. She lives in Budapest, Hungary. She trains voluntary storytellers and visits children’s shelters to tell stories with her students. She has published several books both in Hungarian and English, featuring unique and rare folktales.
