Main Street Electrical Parade "Final Night" - Disneyland 1996

This night was crazy. 80,000 people was the amount we heard were let inside #Disneyland that night to see the very last #MainStreetElectricalParade. And they were ALL on the parade route. Of course now we know it wouldn't really be the last time we would see this classic parade. So imagine what it was like to so many saying goodbye that night. At the time I was working #MSEP as a float driver for the last two years. Since it was the last night, the more seniority cast members were the ones driving. Seemed like they really came out of the woodwork to drive when we drove the whole summer, but that was fine, that just meant we got to be part of the party and watch with the guests. Yes, this is rowdy, and a little obnoxious. You have been warned. Worth noting that the amazing woman playing the Blue Fairy was also one of the original Blue Fairies from when the parade first premiered. And for the first time, Once the Drum and Train float finished the route, they had Mickey come out on a riser to greet the parade behind him as they roll backstage. Then Mickey was escorted backstage with a couple of Patriotic Finale Dancers, very classy touch.
