** REVIEW **

Hue GU10 Spotlight Bulbs
Fitting can be tricky as the bulbs are lightly bigger than other LED bulbs. White mode is very good hence why I decided to fit them over the kitchen. It is very poor for Green, it comes out very bright and almost White.

Bloom Lamps
These are the smallest stand alone lamps in the WiFi range. It does not output as much light as other maps but because of the size it is a nice compromise. The array of LED's does not mix colours as well as the other lamps and it does not do a pure white very well.

LivingColor Gen 2 Lamps
I bought these back in November 2011 so I was surprised to see they integrated into the Hue system without much fuss. It has a interesting clear design and the lead you are able to detach from the lamp so useful to feed and hide the cables in units. Colour is very good and it replicates nearly all colours to a satisfactory standard. I wish Philips did not change these lamps so much in Gen 3 with the fix lead as it is limiting the options of placement.

Hue 2m Strips
These were on offer on Amazon so I thought why not, then I have tested nearly all of the Hue range. As expected these are to be used as accent lighting, do not expect them to be so bright to use as a task light. Mounted under my kitchen unit it does all some additional interest. It does not render white very well at all.

Hue WiFi Bridge
Great gadget and it works with the official Hue app with little fuss. I had some fun to tease my flat mate in the house but also more useful timers and alarms set for the lights. For example to switch off all lights at bedtime to remind me to sleep! The reverse can be set for sunrise which is pretty good.

LivingColor Gen 2 Remote Controls
From the whole range this IS the best. Very responsive, has 3 presets, dim, saturation and on/off. I was very surprised to see I was able to connect this to work with the Hue Bridge and the newer products. I was glad as the Tap does not look good and guest always end up having a play - no matter who and how old they are!
** OVERALL **

My whole living room is now decorated with Hue, it does make the evenings a lot more interesting. I hope there will be a update to the GU10 so the bulbs can be more colourful especially for Green. For future products more care should be taken so that the LED's will be able to render exactly the same shade, as currently there is a variance.

Highly recommended and look out for these on offer on Amazon sometimes.
