Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager VN1700 Fairing Cowl Cowling Removal Vaquero Easy Simple Detailed

This is a how you remove the Cowl / Fairing for the Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager, the Vaquero is not much different from my understanding.

This is pretty much step by step on how to remove and replace the Cowl, lower trim pieces, speakers, speaker cones, disconnect the fogs, headlight, get to the radio, etc....

The video is about 20 minutes long. Once you do this a couple times it really only takes about 20 minutes total to get it all apart.

Be careful to NOT OVER TIGHTEN the bolts and screws when you put them back in, you have to remember you are tightening into plastic, and the expanding rubber screw tabs will crack if you overtighten. This is for reference only, if you are not comfortable do not attempt if you are afraid of damaging your bike. This is also nice to know how to remove if doing LED's you can get the wiring a little better and less things showing.
