Fingerprinting your emotions through Emotional Intelligence: a way of mental-wellbeing. A postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University, USA in the department of Human Development. Her Ph.D. research is based on Emotional Intelligence (EI). At present, she is building a new EI model with wellbeing indicators. Her recent initiative is the podcast Student of the World for creating students’ wellbeing. She is an author of an upcoming book “Recycle Emotion”. Dr. Sharma is part of the Cornell Multicultural Academic Counseling mentoring program, counseling and guiding Ph.D. students, and is part of WE Cornell, a women's entrepreneurial club. She is also part of the Cornell postdoctoral leadership program. An advocate of creating awareness about emotional wellbeing, Dr. Sharma has been a personal and professional counselor for students at IIT Roorkee India and also has curated sessions for students at Cornell on wellbeing. She has given personal development seminars to World Bank employees and many other corporations. With over seven years of experience, she has developed a deep understanding of the psychology of organizational setups and academic institutions, advising start-ups for HR strategies.
