Albanese government’s honeymoon is ‘finally over’

Sky News contributor Jenna Clarke says the relationship between Treasurer Jim Chalmers and Finance Minister Katy Gallagher “seems to be deteriorating”.

When asked on Today whether she would change negative gearing, Minister Gallagher placed the responsibility at the PM’s feet.

“Whether the communication has broken down and they haven’t got their lines together – that’s one thing,” Ms Clarke told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“Everyone now, is scrambling because all of a sudden, the honeymoon is finally over with the Albanese government.”

Sky News host Paul Murray sat down with Ms Clarke, PR Counsel Managing Director Kristy McSweeney and City of Sydney Labor Councillor Linda Scott to discuss the government’s tax cut changes.
